Purpose

Providing infant and children's items, at no cost, to low income families living in Prince Edward County and the Quinte Area. Raising a Village Quinte (RAV-Q) also provides assistance to families in emergency situations including but not limited to: medical cost not covered by OHIP or other medical coverage; and replacement of items due to loss from fire or flood. To Provide free family friendly events and activities throughout the community helping to nourish children's development through social, intellectual, physical and creative activities.

Mission

RAV-Q provides children from birth to 16 years of age, living in low-income situations, with the essential items they need at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge engaging and connecting with the community and through fundraising measures.

To Provide free family friendly entertainment that promotes play, creativity and socialization which are key components of a child’s development.

Raising A Village - Prince Edward County was formed with purpose of creating and organizing larger events within The County. Part of RAV-PEC’s mandate includes supporting the local artistic community.  We ensure that any artist or craftsperson that participates with our events are compensated for their labour.
